Hi Ted,

I recently changed broadband providers and wanted to update my email address accordingly. So I went to my profile and changed it, but then got a message that said:

"We've sent an email to 'old address' to confirm that this is your email address."

Hmm ...

So I check the old account and it has an email saying:

"Please click this link to confirm that 'old address' is your correct email address."

Hmmm ... more

I haven't clicked followed link but when I check my profile it has the 'new address'

All in all a little confused - I can see why you need confirmation but why does everything refer to my old address?

cheers

Dan

PS I guess angle brackets mean something in the forums as everything I put in angle brackets disappears on the preview?

I send mails to the old address in case someone gets access to your PC and changes the address without your knowledge.

Understood but shouldn't it say "... to confirm that new address is the right one ..."?

At the moment it looks like it'll set my address back to the old email which won't work now.
