Thanks. The most uncontroversial change I've made to the site in a long time!

I'd be interested in anyone's suggestions for further enhancements. The classifieds section is quite a crucial element to the site both in terms of interest levels and commercially. It's an area that can set it apart from other sites. Innovative ideas welcome!

Yep... looks a LOT better... top job!

Out of curiosity, would it be difficult to put in a filter? So you could click on the "Price" tag and it's sorted from high-low or low-high...?

"Innovative ideas welcome!"

Sorry - just an obvious one: would it be possible to offer an 'organize' facility, e.g. Sort by price low -high / high - low, or sort by type e.g. Chim 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 5.0 etc....

Edited to say maybe I should read other people's posts before I post my own! Doh!

I do intend to sort out the pricing. By model is more difficult and I have some strange ideas about the pyschology of making filtering too efficient

Same here, I like the changes to the layout. Just one minor thing: On the main page, could you keep an indication as to how many piccies an advert contains? I always thought that was quite useful.

Like the new ads, but what is it with the Audi Quattro? I was looking at the 944 section (purely for research, you understand) and keep getting pictures of a Quattro instead.

e.g.

Thx,
Chris

I think as a TvR Specialist it works very well and by putting the latest ones first keeps the site focused on what's new and also as you go through the pages how long they have been on, this helps the buyer see if something is a bargain or not as well.

I liked it very much - top job - far easier than Autotr4d3r...

Glad you all like it. No suggestions for any other improvements or new facilities?

Do you want to make notes by cars? Do you want to have printer friendly pages? Do you want fries with that?

Ted you have quite alot of unused space on the index page of the classifieds, you could put a link to the shop on it
That is one place i have to look for as i only seem to find a link to it on the home page

Ted,

I think the changes look marvellous, but I have a question. When you enter a Picture URL does it have to be of any particular size?

I entered an ad for 'er indoors bike and entered a picture of it but its not showing up in the list

Matt.

Ah, forgot about that. I was going to dispense with it as there's a link for a website as well as the option to upload pictures.

Ted

Do you do new category requests by any chance ? I was wondering what the possibility of having a category for boats under non-motoring was ? Alternatively I could put the ad under kit cars but some people may be confused by the lack of wheels !

Thanks

Gary

Edited to say: Just read this so don't worry about it. I'll stick to the normal channels
