Possible classifieds ad reply scam?

Can I ask what you think of this? I got an email via PH about an advert for my bike in the classifieds. It seems to be badly written and the start of "Dear Seller" rather than using my screen name or proper name seems a bit odd.

Heres the email:

classifieds buyer said:

Hello Seller,
I just want to make enquiry about this Bike and i will like to know if the Bike is still avaialable ,Get back to me if you still have the Bike for sale and actual price you wnat for it.
Regards.

I can forward the email to you if needed Ted so you know who its from, but should I proceed with the sale with them or not?

Yup, got an email this morning, very badly written asking if they could send £3,500 and they are being so kind they are even going to give me £1,650 instead of the £1,250 asking price Who falls for this kind of thing???
