Will give some thought to the pound symbol thing. It's working on my system but I have seen what you describe elsewhere.

Suspect it's because the page is using the Strict DTD and doesn't use escaped characters for the £ sign.

It's a nightmare all this encoding nonsense. It's generated via XSL which requires & # 163 to generate the code. I guess I need to revisit again
