A while back a thread asking a sensible question about having your back waxed was closed, today a question about nail clippers was closed, yet another thread about shampoo for men, was allowed to continue?
There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the closing/leaving open of very similar topics. Does it come down to who the original poster is, who responds?

Reading them, the nail clippers one was never going to go very far, the back waxing one deteriorated quickly, and I guess the shampoo one has been left because, so far, it remains 'fairly' sensible, well as sensible as P&P can get sometimes.
Having Moderated a forum before, it is very difficult to judge which way a thread will go, and what I left open, another closed, stuff I closed got reopened, etc etc. Who knows what Mods are thinking, different Mods have different thoughts about them, like we do

I closed this thread, and the latest waste of space simply because it's simply getting bloody rediculous with all these threads.
I can't quite believe that this many men, who profess to being manly men who kick tyres while whistling through their teeth at the latest story about 'how I wasted that Boxster driving poofter'* are posting threads about what hairstyle, hair product etc.
One thread maybe, but to see several appear would just be the start of a downward spiral.
Occasionally a thread will be generally funny, but many will be copycats trying to jump on an, by this time, worn out bandwagon.
So, in the interests of keeping P+P interesting and useful, I've closed those two threads.
So there.
