As I am now the lucky owner of a PDA with unlimited net access I was hoping to brighten up those boring bus journeies by perusing my favourite site. However I find that the mini browser (however clever it may be) has a real problem interpreting the pages and also posts to the gassing station are rejected by the PH server.

Are there any plans to produce a PDA friendly version of the site, and if not may I be the first to put my hand up and say "please"?

Surprised to hear that.

It's not perfectly formatted, but quite a lot of people use the Gassing Station on their PDAs.

Looks like when I tried before the server was having a 'funny'.

The formatting is awkward though - any chance of getting a PDA friendly format on "the list of things to do" ?

Ted,

Similar question, Having moved into my new house I don't have access at all except for my 3g-thingy-ma-jig mobile. I can read ph alright but can't post. When I log in it says I'm successful but no joy on posting "you must log in or register before posting". It may just be that phones aren't designed with cookies in mind but is there something I might need to do? It remembers my gmail passwords and username but not here!

I know you're not a phone expert and it probably depends completly on what phone it is (nokia 6800) but I was just wondering!

I've got my PDA working on my own WiFi network now so I'll gradually start tweaking the pages to be more PDA friendly.

I can't offer any ideas on why certain phones don't work though I'm afraid.

For now, we still could help the situation
by making the posts better readable for a
screen resolution of 320x480 pixels.

Anyway, I'd like to customize the PH style
sheet on all my computers. Space saving on
a small screen; spreadsheet lookalike on
the work computer, etc.

Stylesheets saved
with my PH account and called by a cookie
on the particular machine :-)

Guys, download opera browser. Its excellent for these types of things. Just put in: http://mini.opera.com into your PDA browser.

thanks, just trying it now to post this.

Whilst it is very good (and clever), it's less good than the browser on my PDA (Vario II).

I think something merging the features of both would be ideal ..for a browser.

Of course a PDA friendly-ish version of the site would be lovely - like this example. But there again I pay the BBC and I don't pay PH!
