For the smiles legend, formatting codes, or preview, the edge of the frame flashes up briefly with no content and disappears. Sometimes it says error on page. any clues?

Sounds like you have a pop-up stopper installed. Have you installed any software to prevent unwanted ads recently?

Doh!! Yes, that's exactly what I did. Or rather, it was done for me. So, can you selectively turn it off?
