Unless I'm going mad, I think there was a way to search the forum through a google type thing (I remember in had a search google or search pistonheads.co.uk click box), instead of the list of forums to select search engine.

Does anyone know how to get to this as I can't seem to find it?

You can do a google search of the site by putting "site:www.pistonheads.com" (without the quotes) into the search box and what you want to search for afterwards.
