I think it would be useful if the page on which the word you have searched for is on is highlighted.

For example.

If I search for "x" word and it appears on a 100 page thread, it would be very useful if the page numbers with "x" on it were highlighted in some way - perhaps shading the page number yellow?

Actually I hoped (and asked for)
a count alongside threads, as an indicator of number of lurkers
viewing it, but not perhaps posting, other sites have it.

Seriously though, what as an example of a word might be so important to isolate it from number of pages
I've not seen it done elsewhere

Yep, can see your point. Hope to be able to spend some more time on the forum code over xmas/new year so some of these suggestions could get implemented.

As I've said elsewhere, thread titles aren't indexed. "Search" isn't mentioned in this thread until today and the search database is always 24 hours behind.
