Copy the URL of the picture - it'll be something like http:// etc and ending with .jpg.

Paste it in here and then add [pic] at the beginning, so it reads [pic]http:// etc and then add [/pic] at the end so it reads .jpg[/pic]

Howzat?!

If you 'hover' your mouse over the thumbnail below you will see (in your status bar at the bottom of the page) the relevant url that was used.

Should be the link after "src=" - in your case you'd need [pic] thumb7.webshots.net/t/53/753/4/42/16/2027442160099698247TxtOzB_th.jpg [/pic] without the spaces after [pic] and before [/pic] and a http:// before "thumb7" (http:// removed as the site truncates it automatically)

ok, so i tried all of that,

messed around with the url's, all to no avail..

then i finally decided to take the [pic] bits out as per what was on the bottom of the page and it worked...........

well sort of the pictures look rubbish, they're fine on webshots but are horribly pixelated and out of focus on here............

technophobia ruling again

Have you read this:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=21094&f=24&h=0

Try posting the image you want on this thread so we can see what might be going wrong.

Alternatively, post the URL (the internet address) of the image on this thread so we can show you how to do it. Just copy the URL straight in; no formatting or tags are needed.

If I wanted to post the image in your profile I would right click on it and select "properties". The properties box should appear in which you can find the URL (it might say address or location) of the image. I would copy the URL and paste it into a post, then put the tag [pic] before the URL and the tag [/pic] after the URL. The image should then display.

Like this

i hosted my pictures on webshots,

the link on my post above came from one section of their site

the one below comes from the 'link to your pics' bit
[URL=http://rides.webshots.com/photo/20274][/URL]

i've used this bit........

http://thumb7.webshots.net/t/53/753/4

and it gives me a pixelated pic, if i put [pic] before and [/pic] after it doesnt work at all

link to my webshots page..........
