..just browsing on an uneventful day and still think the 'no flash, no fancy graphics, plain and simple' style of the pistonheads website is spot on - user friendly, easy to see, navigate and understand, it even (in my opinion) has sort of a charm of its own compared to many brash website forums.

I like it.

I'd like it to stay this way - no 'change to give the illusion of progress' please!

Rich - that comes across as a bit 'Billy Big Wheels', although I'm sure it wasn't meant like that - couldn't find a similar thread recently, so thought I'd say how good I thought the site design was.

I don't think it's 'pensive yearning', so maybe the 'general forum for things to say about general things that may have been said before some time ago forum' would be more appropriate.

Its becoming something of a chorus here of late
although with the
'I remember when all this was TVR around here'
type remark.

Personally although I miss some of the group I met on here on joining
its still a dynamic site, and far and away best I've found (CARS)

Sometimes think some avatars might help, but
perhaps your right its doing OK as it is

I agree with the OP. All the flashy stuff on other websites, is just like a Vauxhall Nova with a spoiler. This place is more like a Fezza or a Bentley without.

I was definitely NOT looking for freebies, that's just not in my character, I'd abhor any such commercial sycophancy....

...but if there are any going I suppose I'd be able to take a few...
