Ted

Reading through another thread, someone wished for a block button.

Is there anyway we can have a 'button' like this, so it ignores any posts a certain member makes? Obviously, we'd still see them if others quoted them, but.......

I've seen this function in other forums.

It may save the Mods some of the work they have to do when the flames start

clap

We could call it troll-block
You could have TPF(Troll Protection Factor)15 to ignore their posts.. then TPF30 to remove their quotes!

I'm waffling again. I do think it's a good idea though.

I've already got one of those, it has a sharp point one end, and a barge pole at the other

Or Ali for bad use of an apostrophe. We could block the spelling and grammar police, too.

Although it was me who raised the point, I must admit to not really wanting one. I have one on a few other forae I befoul, and have not yet felt compelled to use it.

The remark today was exasperation at the persistent idiocy of one person, not a latent desire never to hear about that effing wedding again, ever ever ever

I still do want one. I've just got rid of the Pie and Piston from my preferences as, despite the fact that I enjoy the odd funny thread, I just can't be bothered with the way so many threads go. I know I've occasionally contributed to that - and am thoroughly repentant! rofl But I've had enough...

I may pop in. But no, I'm not feeling a pull. rofl

And I still can't be bothered with what's in there now. I'll just have to contain my debating style to transport related topics only from now on...
