On other websites I post on, each individual forum has a section showing who is currently in that one. It would say something like 59 Members (and name them) and 232 guests.

Is this something that has been considered here?

It's not something I've ever liked. It makes you feel like you're being watched.

I'm far happier participating in a forum with a matey feel to it than one in which I'm acutely aware that there are 400 people peering in.
