I would like to canvass your views on what you want from PH's editorial content -- news, features and road tests, primarily.

At the moment, most features are road tests of cars, with the occasional thematic group test or company analysis.

So for example, would you like less of the above, more features on new cars, old cars, group tests (if so, what kind - old or new cars?), more 'how-to' features, more motorsport-related features...the possibilities are almost endless.

Please let us know what you want. Ta!

More features on old cars, its something thats not really done anymore. I'm not talking about buying guides as such. More like ' Journo driving a 15 year old E30 M3, seeing how its aged' etc

Some motorsport features that are more widespread would be nice.. Of course, I'm biased when I say drag racing, but there are many other motorsports that don't get too much of a look in when it comes to reporting..

It would be nice to see regular updates from real world motorsports like the AVO Ginetta Cup, Caterham Challenge etc

Maybe some reports on hillclimbs seeing as we have a few uphill racers onboard??

I like the idea of the tests on older cars yes

How about within each section (say Chimaera/Griffith etc) a "How To..." forum. People could then upload their Videos/Pics/Instructions for how to (say) replace wing mirrors on their particular vehicle.

I know people take videos/pics/write down instructions as they do jobs on their P&J's because I've benefited from some of this myself but have had to "go round the houses" to get them.

Just a suggestion.

Working on the above suggestion, how about running it along the lines of a technical Wiki where members can build a knowledgebase of their cars.

How about something along the lines that Evo do, run a car for a period of time, but with us as the journo's - a lucky punter gets say Honda's new motor for a week and has to blog it on PH for teh time that he/she has it.

Group test with PH readers as the Journo's - PHCOTY with a group test, Track conditions and real world analysis, blogged online with reports etc.

OK, its all been done before but with Journo's, how many of them take the time to bring along the natural dempgraphic of the populace for a real world viewpoint - should make it uniquely PH.

Thats kind of similar to what we're doing over on the 7seriesregister. A group of us were asked if we would do a constant running report on each 7 that we own (6, 8 & 12 cylinder, all years and varients) and document everything we replace, repair, upgrade, rebuild, running costs, photos, videos advice and tips so that future owners get a rough idea of what ownership is like

Damned good idea I say

I'd like a PH gallery with thumbnails. Sort of like PHTV with the auto submission etc
There are some great cars and great photographers on here. The quality pics get lost in threads all to easy.

just my two peneth.

Also maybe expand on the 'best roads' theme with a google map of suggested hoonages etc ?

Is it a good idea to put hoonage routes onto the forum. Never know who's looking.

I'd like to see something more on buying and selling.

Buying - The recent 10k cars feature was very good and cars like this are more accessible to the everyday man.

Selling - advice on where to advertise, how to get the best out of it, etc. Could even be personalised to each marque e.g how to get the best price for your Porsche/Ford/VW/Ferrari/etc

not the actual route, but more a map showing where great bits of asphalt are. Just incase someone is away from home and near a great road, it might be worth a detour. I would.

I'd like to see more guidance on the 'top tips' for first time track dayers... a lot of folks are intimidated from gettin out there and I think PH could really help them! Maybe a separate section where regulars could provide help and advice... maybe divided up by track venue?
Cheers
