Just tried to PM someone and was told OOPS, you don't have permission to send emails.

I got an error message earlier to say that the member doesn't receive emails:

error message said:

Oops...

Sorry - the recipient doesn't permit emails.

I assume that this is normal functionality though.

I've just emailed someone through their profile and got the copy that's sent to me. Hopefully the recipient got his copy too

Don't know if it's related but the login page (login.asp suprisingly) is also walkabout at the moment... If you haven't got your details in your cookies you're currently locked out.

'fraid so - on two different machines neither of which has been used to get to the site before. Clicking "post reply" to a thread gives a white screen with the ph speed matters logo with the url:

PH mail isn't working for me either. It sends copies to me and appears that its sent, but the person I sent it to didn't get it.

Mine worked. The person I sent my email to has replied

I think this "oops, you dont have permission to send emails" thingy is something to do with the system not recognising you aren't actually logged in.
The same applies to finding your 'Contributions'

Try logging off and back on again if you get this and see if it fixes it.

I can see my Contributions ok, and have tried logging off and back on but I still get the "oops" message when I try to send email
