Silly trivial suggestion time.
I noticed that the posts in a thread are normally shown alternating with dark and light backgrounds, which is great. When a post contains a quote, the quote always has a light background. This is fine of course, but seems to me to work better when the original post has a dark background.
My suggestion is that quotes should have a contrasting colour to the text around them.
