New editor for PH

Adam Towler takes over the reins today

none
Morning all. Today's is another milestone in PH's history as we welcome our first full time editor, Adam Towler.

Adam's worked on Autocar for five years on the road test team and has spent time behind the wheel of many a great car including the mighty Veyron. He also studied car design at Coventry so should be more than adequately qualified to grapple with difficult decisions such as what to choose the shed of the week.

By employing a full time editor we hope to be able to increase the depth of our coverage here and work towards creating stronger features and resources on the site.

Thanks must go to the outgoing editor, Manek Dubash, who has provided a steady hand at the tiller for the last two and a half years. Manek has helped make PH a great source of news and entertainment each day.

We welcome any suggestions for where we can go editorially, so if you've got some ideas of what we should be covering and how we can cover it then please drop Adam a line.

So, standby for a new era of editorial once Adam's finished his morning pasty.

This paragraph alone shows it's needed Ted! hehe

What's happening to Manek now then? Is he moving onto somewhere else?

Adam, there's a diesel BMW X5 on 22s on the front page of PH, you better sort that out sharpish...

I've still got that photo of Paul with puppy in Max'ed Fiesta for a small fee....

Thanks guys (for all the fish!).

As the story says, PH needs a full-time editor to take things on to the next level and I didn't want a full-time job.

I want to thank Ted for allowing me to take charge of the front page of his baby all those years ago - it's been huge fun and I've learnt a lot, even if I spent more time driving a keyboard than some of the gorgeous bits of metal I've been writing about.

So after two and a half years at the PH copyface, it's (very sadly) time to move on. However, I've plenty more irons in the fire and not being the editor ironically gives me a bit more time to spend here on PH enjoying myself...

Here's wishing the best of luck to Adam on his new job. thumbup

I will am sorry to hear Manek Dubash is leaving, I enjoyed his input here but onwards and upwards as they say.

Yet again PH is moving forward at ever increasing rate. This form of journalism is the future - interactive magazines are great because you can judge the feedback in realtime and edit your future articles gained on response.

Well done again to Ted for escalating his alltime dream into a succesful business, there are not many that manage to turn this dream into fruition, and finally a big welcome to Adam Towler in joining PH Towers thumbup

Excellent.

I have some suggestions- how about somne technical articles- judging by some of the popularity of my posts I'd be only too happy to help complete some in depth technical stuff reflecting some of my experiences in the automotive industry.

Could be posted in the Engines And Drivetrain section.

It's a strange role for an editor on PH.

I've never really looked at any of the editorial content (news excluuded), the true value comes from users posts.

Anyway, best of luck and just don't make it too commerical - that's PH's secret.
