[URL] tag when "https" used

I just tried creating a link using the [url] etc formatting code. The link to the site had the prefix https. In preview mode the coding didn't appear to recognise the https prefix so the link didn't work.

Is this something that is inherent with https sites?

Nope, that's down to my code not recognising https. I'll take a look.
