very good - a great improvement and also very speedy.

One very minor comment I would make (and put this one down to stupid user habits..) is that once I have the search results screen showing if I hit the browser back button then it re runs the same search again. I know there are links at the bottom of the search to revise etc but as I am a stupid user my brain is hard wired to ignore these and go for the big green back button.

Could the search in process page have some detection in that only runs the search if it is called from the search criteria entry screen?

Hope you don't mind the feedback, just worried about unnecessary searching overtaxing the hamsters. Of course, post buy out it is entirely feasible that you now have limitless hamsters and as such don't care too much about overtaxing the odd one here or there - and if so then please ignore!

Cheers

Just a thought.. But could the Advanced options also allow you to search through "My Stuff"? There have been a number of times that I've been trying to find the something withing a thread that I posted on but can't remember the thread name.

The new search facility is a huge improvement

Why not simply enter the keywords which you are searching for plus your own name - that will narrow it down.

Ted - if you`re thinking of introducing this, why not simply add a box for the username? Sometimes I need to find something that I know a particular PHer said.

That's already there in the advanced search form.

A really trivial thing that would be handy is if you've typed a search term in the 'standard' search box and then decided to do an advanced search instead, if it could carry the search term over to the advanced screen.
