Ted,

In the Classified Photos the nice little feature where the piccie is overlaid with the Picture Numbers of the other pictures and you can quickly zip between them appears to be broken.

The picture doesn't fill the window - it has a black strip at the bottom. When I hover the mouse over the picture the numbers appear - but when I move the mouse towards the numbers (which are in the black strip - not sitting over the top of the picture where they used to be) once I get off the picture the numbers disappear effectively preventing me from selecting one!

If I move the mouse very quickly or a number of times eventually I can get to hover the mouse pointer over the numbers and they do their turning red thing and I can select one.

I think the problem may be to do with the window resizing code conflicting with the way the number buttons hide/show routine works.

I'll bet this is browser specific too...I'm on IE6 on W2K....and sure enough it works when I use FireFox.

Hope this helps.

I had this earlier with a BMW Z3M Roadster classified that I was looking at...

This was in IE7.

However trying it on a different machine, but also with IE7, the links are ok to get on, but the black line is still at the bottom...

OK, could you point me at a particular advert please? I've tried IE7 and it's working ok on the ads I've looked at.

If you click to open the picture browser on this BMW Z3M Roadster then you should see a black line at the bottom - as though the windows not resizing to the picture size or something.

While you are at it Ted, can you ban me from the BMW Z3 M Roadster Classifieds before I do something stupid like buy one? hehe

p.s. am posting this from the BMW Showroom via me phone, and they've unsucessfully tried to sell me a 2.2 Z4 (cars having an oil service while I wait) - they were a bit miffed when I told them that the 2.2i was a bit shite (performance wise)...

Ta. Works ok in my IE7 but I'll see if I can get my head round what might be occurring.

If you hold the mouse button down as you move into the black strip towards the number, the number should stay there and you can click on it! Not ideal, but works for me.

I reckon it might be a security setting in the later IE browsers telling this bit where to get off....

[script type="text/javascript"][!--
setWindowSize();

function enlargePic( advertId, noPics, current )
{
var winAttributes='scrollbars=0,location=0,left=0,top=0,width=640,height=480';
window.open('largepic.asp?i='+advertId+'&noPics='+noPics+'&current='+current,'',winAttributes);
return false;
}
--[[/script]

It opens a full screen new tab on IE7 on my machine whereas my FF opens at the size you have defined.

Thanks, I'll try experimenting with different security settings.

Tools> internet options >tabs

"Always open popups in a new tab" breaks it (causes the popup to display in a new fullscreen tab that you can't get to the numbers in). "Let IE decide" makes it work again.

I don't know how the fix will take to be effective but it's still happening now. Just been browsing a few Mercedes ads and the problem was occurring then.
