Just thought it might be useful to have a "snag list" for tecchie types to report bugs etc...

No gripes, no whinging just factual reporting to help with the ongoing debugging.

And the sooner it's debugged the sooner we get skins

First one.... Topic titles are displaying as escaped characters eg:

Boxster S (986) Just under 300bhp for just under £1500?

instead of

Boxster S (986) Just under 300bhp for just under £1500?

No way of seeing what you've read and not read. Previously, unread items appeared in bold and read items appeared as standard text.

Opening any topic takes you to the last page. Not sure if this should be on the snagging list though.

When I go to "Gassing Station" the "Welcome Back Snoggledog" bit is hidden under the (My Info, This Forum, Members etc) banner. When I go to a specific page ie P&P then it re-appears. BTW. Using Firefox 1.5

Animated smileys (such as hehe or yes ) seem to have a transparent border which interferes with their edges

Clicking links re-uses the browser window rather than opening a new one.

Personally I don't like this, as using FF or ie7 you can configure them to open a tab rather than a new window, which is ideal. Re-using the current one just means I'm forever losing my place in the Gassing Station.

Just hold down control when clicking a link. I always do that anyway as I don't trust websites to second guess what I want them to do.

When you post a new topic, it used to appear in the list as Replies 0 (zero). Now it appears in the list as Replies <blank>. Not a comment good or bad, just different and possibly not deliberate.

Or click the link with the mouse wheel rather than the left button - works on both my Microsoft mouse at home and my Dell wheel mouse at work.

Just noticed that the 3 replies I put up earlier (abocve) are all highlighted in white. Other are alternating grey / white. Don't know if this is a bug or not.

Your own posts have a different CSS class ("myPostRow" to others ("evenRow" and "oddRow". The classes all have different background colours.

Still got the defect whereby emoticon substitution is done after HTML substitution, so quote marks followed by a closing brace gets converted to "e;) and then to &quote

On a slightly related matter, a [code][/code] or [pre][/pre] (call it what you will) tag would be useful that disables all formatting and tag parsing within it so people can post stuff up verbatim. Would certainly make telling people how to post an image link easier.

A synonym of [img] for [pic] would help with compatibility with BBCode too.

I've yet to start work on the parser.

I'll be working on that next week as it's related to the new tool I've got in mind idea

Didn't see the snag list until too late...

There's an inconsistency in the post numbering now.

In the replies column, it lists just that - the number of replies that a topic has received.
However, in the contributions screen, the little number in brackets denotes the number of posts in a topic - obviously this is (replies+1).

This can be a little confusing.
