I am clearly rather dim but don't seem to be able to get email from the site. I have emailed a contributor via the site, they say they have replied but i cannot find it. Any thoughts?
If they replied to you then they would have done so using a normal mail client. That wouldn't go via PH which suggests a more fundamental (no PH) problem.

Unless your email address in your profile is incorrect, as that's where the reply will be sent to.
