As of late I have been not very impressed with way that PH is heading. The levels of bitching and rubbish posted is just plain silly. After asking a serious post recently all I got back was a bunch of guys taking the p1ss. TBH I don't really want to be part or associated with that voluntarily so I feel that it is my time to retire from PH. It really is the straw that broke the camel's back.

What? One person makes a funny comment on your cat thread which was of no harm at all and YOU tell him to f**k off and you're the one complaining?

Sorry but thats just plain balls, we all care, we've got a window box and everything to care for dontcha know.

As for Chris i suspect he's having a bad day, one guy makes a smart comment (see above) and he throws his toys out the pram and tells him to Feck off.

Well i tell you what chris if you really want to delete your profile just let me know in this thread, we'll ban you and get Ted to remove your profile on Monday.

Times gone by when people asked for help they would get a good cross section of answers and a bit of banter. Now threads decend inot sillyness, and slagging off matches and there seems to be no interference from mods or anyone else. PH used to be a place for like minded car enthusiasts to get together. Now it seems to be no more than a loosely car themed, tabloid, with the odd interesting thread and post.

The forums are massive now, if you have a problem there is the "report abuse" link to click that is what it is there for, we can't read anything and everything and as far as I was concerned there was nothing wrong with the thread.

As for car enthusiasts, yes it is still full of car enthusiasts. But there aren't too many cat enthusiasts on here, maybe you need to try a cat forum instead.

Is it now, there are an awful lot of people who don't post any longer due to the constant thread hyjacking and general bitchyness (sp)What gets done, nothing of any use thats what.A thread gets locked and somebody may spend and hour or two locked out,but this is all after the fact.Nobody really gives a stuff now

I think you are over reacting slightly Chris, maybe be best to step away from the keyboard for a few days and come back when you've had a rest...

You can draw similarities with M&Motors till the chavs come home,
its still the most up beat forum about that I use.

True the Mods do seem on the blind-side
choosing a back seat instead of binning sinners
which is as good a telling off as any amount of arbitrarily deleted threads.

I'm confident in time, threads about
international abductions/charitable causes & cat haters

will run to a One page YES/No survey for quickness
until then I'll stick around

Why do you need to remove your profile? Why don't you like just browse to another site and not come back? I'd imagine it's quite easy.

Just an idea...

See FwD's post above, we rely on you guys to helps us out which is why there is a Report Abuse Button, Chris did that in this case and both myself and FWD checked out Chris's abuse report - there was nothing wrong with it, if anything he was completely over reacting.

People come and go on PH, you forge friends with some and many you dont, as has been mentioned earlier the forums are huge now and many of them return under a different guise because they cant keep away - you would be surprised how many people say i'm never posting here again, only to appear again a few days/weeks/months later with the same IP address and a different login name...

Gave up using the report abuse button, all that ever happened was the thread got locked. That solves nothing as the offenders just move to another thread.

And you will be surprised how many people still read these pages but no longer,or seldom, post. These are people who became increasingly pi55ed off whith whats been allowed to go on.Its a shame as it seems the people that drift away for good are thoe who have extensive knowledge, and not just in cars

We aren't doing enough eh?

Ffs I get emails almost daily about being heavy handed for closing threads, deleting threads, even moving threads, binning comments & clips/j.pegs etc the attention whores start threads in Pie & Piston about Mods.

We are damned if we do, damned if we don't and there is always someone wanting to bitch about what we do for FREE.

The management are not the mods, management run the site.Mods just do as asked

Every abuse report gets looked at - and depending on the severity it will either get -

A) a Comment edited
B) a Comment removed
C) The poster banned from contributing to a thread
D) a Thread Locked
E) the poster a sin bin for a quiet word
F) The poster banned

Now i'm sure you'll agree that not everything deserves a banning - though there are a few we would like too
