Image resizer is poor quality

Just posted a scan which was auto resized - the text was unreadable. Resized it to 758 and it was OK

Also posted a pic of a wheel part and the curve was very jagged - OK when clicked on for full size.

I know that in Photoshop you have to be very careful which resize method to use - Bicubic sharper works best

I've said before, I wish the system could reject oversize pics but apparently it can't. Would be nice if people read the rules and submitted pics of the correct size so we don't have to download huge pics which then get resized anyway...

I resize my pics to 800px because that's the size my webpublisher want's 'em to be. I'm not going to resize to 750 px . . .

I agree megabig pics - up to 2400 px sometimes! - should be rejected . . .
