Since about 11am this morning (worked fine prior to that) Whenever I try and view Pistonheads while connected to my corporate VPN (terminated in the US) I get a PetrolHead Publishing error page - but its fine if im connected directly...

any thoughts?

I had this the other week as well. What's going on. Nearly had to do some work there for a minute!

Been down all morning here - just got back. Hope it doesn't go down again as I succumbed and got the majority of the weeks work done. Going to be pretty much stuck for things to do now without PH frown

Same here except we only have one way out via Leeds, so I got the petrolhead page for a good while before PH re-appeared about 10 mins ago.

Odd.

Me too. Checked pistonheads.co.uk / www.pistonheads.co.uk / ph.com / www.ph.com / petrolheads.com

What ever is happening is due to tinkering on yon servers I'd wager.

Tinkering on servers at peak times... never wink

One of the servers decided to go on strike around 11am and it took a little while to get it back up and running, as the site is load balanced I would expect this to cause no problems, but obviously it has. Looks like some people are stuck to specific servers and are not being balanced around which we will investigate.

Sorry for the breakdown... oh and also for the removal of the work distraction smile

don't let it happen again please - if my productivity goes anywhere above "slack bar steward" they might notice my usual lack of input.

Very interesting.. we have had no server problems today (anyone else had this problem today). Will also have a look at the logs to see if I can work out anything.
