NO NO it's just a term we use because when someone presses the "report" button it flags the post up to the moderators forum.

We collectively call them Abuse reports because most people are reporting abuse of some description i.e. PH'er or the rules of posting or Ads in the forums etc etc.

Hope that makes sense?

Those ads you mentioned will get a closer look tomorrow. smile

Yep, it's been a real problem on Auto Trader for some time now. The 'scammers' e-mailing you trying to get you to ship your car somewhere following a fake payment. They then sell the 'stolen' car and have the free cash!

But I bet they can't believe they're luck with pistonheads.com - they can advertise someone else's car for free, and don't even have to shift any stolen goods after!

Something has to be done about this, they will soon take over the Classifieds section!

We are currently working on extra security and peace of mind measures for the classifieds that will hopefully sort this problem out, or make it easier to trust the advert.

Though the reporting mechanism is still on the top right of ads if you suspect it not to be real, and this will notify us immediately.
