Hi,
I used to be able to post pretty much (within reason ) any size of picture file.
Whilst this usually appeared in the thread as a small image, clicking on it once or twice would allow it to be displayed in its larger format.
This no longer seems to be the case. Any reason ?

Thanks.

Use [pic]... [/pic] instead of [img].... [/img]

On the other hand, why not shrink the picture file before uploading it?
I have a fast (average 6-7 Mbps) broadband link but I frequently have a substantial delay while a page load of photos downloads. Have pity on those with 2Mbps or less or, dread the thought, a dial-up link.

No idea but I wish people wqould fo;;ow the rules which say pics should be 750 wide max.
Big pics take ages to load then get resized antway.

Thanks all smile
I do normally resize to manageable file sizes (but just occasionally a larger image can be beneficial) wink

The difference between img and pic is just that the img tag has been improved and replaced by the pic tag. Though for backwards compatability the img tag has been left in.

is the old way with the img tag, and

is the new way with the pic tag

There is also the option of the thumb tag (inserts picture at 200 width)

and the rthumb tag (inserts picture at 200 width and aligns right)

The last three tags are clickable to go to the image on it's own. So generally the rule of thumb is to use the pic tag most times (for smaller than 700 width) unless you want to embed a large picture with detail then you use the thumb tag which will link to a bigger picture
