Why cant sold cars be auto removed

Cars that have sold stay in the classifieds for too long, why dont they get auto removed after a week or something like that once the owner has changed its state to sold. If its gone, its no use to a prospective buyer is it, an example is the Caterham page, some have been in there ages as sold.

Any thoughts?

There's a very good reason for keeping them. Something to do with potential buyers being able to judge selling prices, etc,etc.

We are looking into the max length an advert stays on for after selling, though it is a good promotional tool for PH to show cars being sold quickly, and as Kinky says it is good for checking the market price of cars. But the current timelength is 60 days from the submission of the advert, so if a car sells after the first day it will be on for another 59 days, which I feel is too long. It maybe that we look at implementing a 10 or 15 day period after the selling of a car.

Perhaps there could be a box to tick that shows cars that have been sold - so when you are looking for a car to buy, you don't have to see the sold ones - and when you want to see prices you can see the cars that have been sold?

I think you should get a 7-14 day advert when placing, and then if it doesn't sell, you just have to log on again and extend for another 7 days and so on.....
Its very annoying to find the perfect car/toy and then call to get told it was sold a month ago!
