Bit annoyed that a newbie cannot post. A work colleague of mine PH name mezy has been unable to post as she's a newbie.

Quite frankly i'm amazed it's come to this. She's a genuine poster, and recommended to the site by me, and wanted advice on her new car purchase. How many other potentially decent posters are we going to lose?

Cheers

Perhaps a recommendation box would be a good idea on sign up? It could send an E-mail to the person making a recommendation and they could validate it.

IIRC newbies should be able to post with 24 hours of joining up.

However the site was in trustee mode for a few days this week, this mode only allows trusted (old PH) members to post.

So I would suggest she try again. smile

24 hours would be fine, she only signed up today, but I just thought it odd, and there was no suggestion as to how long the restriction would be in place.

Ask her yourself (when she can post)

And don't worry i've warned her about the initiation process, and she is fully aware that her spelling, grammar, car choice etc etc will be heavily scrutinsed/questioned hehe

It's the small price we pay when we have a "troll attack".
