The ads (the thread embedded ones) have always seemed to have been a major bottleneck to page loading, but seems to be worse today than ever. I do appreciate that the site is supported by advertising so not grumbling about that, but is there not some way to disassociate the loading of the thread text from the loading of the adverts? Assuming it is a thread I am returning to, then invariably I will just want to read the last one or two posts, so quick page load and skip to the bottom, but this constant delay while a mid page advert loads is getting infuriating.

I agree with you too, it is an issue I have raised with powers that be, and hopefully they will start taking it more and more seriously.

As for the page loading, I am working on a new way to get the pages loading before the adverts as I type (well after I press post )
