Anyone know why when I attempt to watch a video I get the annoying BP Ultimate advert perfectly but then just a blank green screen for the actual video? Sound is ok. Help!

It all depends on the format of the video. The system has never been built to show all videos in one format like youtube does. Thus, the video could be in a format that is not recognised or that you dont have the correct codec for and thus it doesnt show properly. The current Pre-roll advert is running in flash which is more compliant for all browsers.

We are looking to move all the videos into this format in the future, but that is someway off.

There is an option below the video to open it in a standalone window which you could try to view the video.

Thanks RP. Seems to be ok today using Windows Media Player but didn't work yesterday. Weird!

Yeah I'm getting the same problem. I get the advert and then it goes black and says play on it. I click play and it just opens a new window with the bp advert. I have to click watch in media player for it to work.

what happens is this:
go to ph.tv
click link to watch something
opens page with video
that shows the advert
end of advert you get a "click to play"
which when you click openes a new window going to http://uk.sitestat.com/haymarket/pistonheads/s?BP_...
which seems to hang
only link available then is on the first page with "Watch video in External Player" which then asks to open /save / etc.

hth. smile

Same here. Most vids I get showing in a green / yellow mess. Kinda like photograph negatives.
that seems different and perhaps a codec issue?

is this going to get sorted out, it's bloody annoying... tbh it's probably not doing race of champions any good either.

As RP's only now getting information require to start troubleshooting it, I'd suggest giving him a little time smile
