If you are the first person to comment on a news story then it will have a RE: at the beginning to show it as in reply to a story.

We try and associate the news story in the most appropriate forums and so they could be in SP&L or General Gassing or Motoring News or somewhere else

If your the first to reply to an RE story it shows up in "my topics" too. Not really a problem but its not really a "my topic" more of a "my replies really"
