different motorsport sections?

i was just wondering yesterday when i was looking for the threads on f1 if there could be different forums for f1 and rallying rather than it just been in a general motorsport section. thanks.

True, I used to like the GM section but these days it just full of idiots bleating about hamilton and every GP needing about 10 topics with everyone trying to prove that they know more about f1 than the next person. Its rarely a reasoned debate these days either, its just a blinkered rant about how great/crap ferrari/mclaren are. I notice that most of the bikers dont post their motogp threads in there at all and keep them in the biker banter section already.

I think that this is a good idea, but maybe something to resurect closer to the start of the F1 season next year as it could turn into a cold winter forum during the closed season. Not sure what other opinions are?

It would be nice if it was divided a little instead of the huge F1 wank/complain fest

Be nice to have like a HC&Sprint section, Rally and Rally Cross then Circuit racing mixed with F1?

I think 'F1' should have its own section,that way they can bicar about Mclaren/Ferrari/Honda/Renault etc, without anyone else having to take notice of it.

I like to join in the bickering occasionally myself but would like to see a separate F1 forum. Fair enough we have the GT one which gets a fair airing, but, IMO we should have under the motorsports section:-

1. Formula 1.

2. GT Racing

3. General Mortosport

4. Rallying/Rally cross

5. Bike Racing

There are a couple of good topics which have been lost in the last few weeks thanks to the F1 chest beating. I do agree that this is the wrong time of year to make such a change though as it will all be a barren wasteland for the next few moths other than the usual who’s going where fest, RoC and RGB and the other usual suspects. Perhaps it could coincide with the official launch of the first new F1 car of the ’08 season?

If you really must put the latter one in bikerbanter section but I would like to see it all again as I don’t wander down there very often, even though I have a passing interest in Moto GP and BSB

What do you mean?

I mean it is probably a good idea to launch new forums when nearer the start of the season, such as the launch of the first F1 car as said above, due to the quietness of F1 during winter. Then we can look at evaluating the whole Motorsport section at the same time!
