On returning to popular threads i notice that i have to time consumingly trawl thru many pages to revisit and hunt out my post from previous day to see if i have been quoted or directly replied to.
Unless im doing something wrong -how do i get directly to my post and not the current page which is several pages infront?

I'm not quite sure I understand the question but...
If, before you leave PH you press "Mark All Read" (under "What's New&quotwink then it will mark all the threads at that place, so when you come back to it, via "My Stuff" (under What's New" it will open at the last place you read and have a thick blue line under the last post before you left.

Is that what you mean?

If you go to 'My Info' and 'Contributions' on the top toolbar, this shows all the threads that you have replied to within the last 14 days.

There is a couple of things to make it easier,
first, go into 'my preferences' and choose page lenghth as a 40 or 80, which cuts down the number of pages, makng it easier to do a search on your own name (control F)
secondly- and I would say do this instead of rather than as wel as, , try clicking on your own username to look at your profile as if someone else would be able to, go into the forum tab and then click on the thread you want to view and it takes you to the page you posted on.

Yes, but it does'nt take you to the page you posted on, it just takes you to the last page of the thread, and that is what the OP is talking about. The only way to do it is to remember the page and time yourself.
