There is another thread running that is outlining what PH are doing with these herehttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
It's worth noting the amount of ads that never actually become live, the amount of e-mail click-throughs that never actually get sent to the seller of the car, all because they are scams.
This is a very small portion that get through. Unfortunately, there is no provision for "the car's a bit too cheap"
Use the "report" and they will get acted upon

The scam is usually a seller has the car on the site, and then you email them and they reply saying that the car is good, but had to move abroad through work or some other excuse and thus took the car with me. They are wanting to sell back to UK as is right hand drive blah blah. They then say that they will use an 'independant' shipping company to send the car back and thus ask for a deposit or full amount to be paid to the shipping company and they will get the car back. Then once money is paid to shipping company everything goes quiet.
Usually the cars are genuine, and owned by someone in the UK, but have been identity thefted off Autotrader, ebay Motors or another site and then put up on this. So if you do a vehicle check on the registration the car will pass fine as it is a good car.
