Threads and posts dissapearing

FYI - some threads and posts that have been put up since the precussive maintainance seem to be dissapearing and reappearing ... and dissapearing again etc etc.

better give the Gerbils a flick on the nose or something ....


this one will probably vanish now too

I have noticed that... the search database is still building in the background but it is having an impact on the posts jumping in and out. Should be finished in the next 30 minutes.

BTW should we be seeing any blinding changes to performance (not that i will with 16,000 miles of latency) or was this just a case of cleaning the Gerbil's cage??

All updated now.

Theoretically there should be an improvement as one of the database servers has been upgraded to a faster machine, but I expect there will be a few teething problems for the next few days as I tweak the setup to make it fly, whether it is noticeable is a different matter, but should see better uptime.
