first post MIA

been happening for ages, but starting to bug me.
Why is it the case that often (but not always) the first post in a thread is missing?

Others can obviously see it (sometimes it gets quotes) but I never do?

Anyone got any idea?

The op may have deleted it hoping to delete the whole thread as happens with other lesser forums If its an old thread though theres something where the 1st posts were stored on a different database to the rest of the thread and when they moved the whole shebang over to the new servers it went a bit wonky and some of the first posts were lost or just havent been moved over to rejoin the rest of their thread yet.

I've noticed this particularly with the legendary threads on the wiki....

The legendary threads realignment is on my list to sort out as we still have them all.
