...but this time actually using a car that's on the very preceding page in the PH ads listing! I mean it's not even the sort of car you'd fail to have noticed before if you were intent on buying one of these!

I've informed WLN Automotive.

But is there really nothing that can be done about these ads?

If you look at the ad you'll note a "Report to Administrator" link at the top right, which does as it says on the tin.

Are ads not vetted any more? I've noticed in increasing amount of dross mis-filed into the race cars section (on the RSS feed).

Ads haven't been individually vetted for some years now. I implemented a set of rules and filters to control them when I was dealing with 100 ads a day or so.

Volume has tripled since then and those rules need beefing up. There are some other measures in the pipeline which should have a very beneficial effect too.

I believe it takes more than one person to report it, and then it goes into a queue for review, with action being taken as required.

As Ted says, there are now around 600 ads a day being added, so it is matter of beefing up the filters and putting in place the new things we have in the pipeline to hopefully cut down the scams.

The above ads have been removed
