The wiki topics seem to be open to loosing updates - if two people are editing it simultaneously, the first submits followed by the second, then the first update is lost.
Alternatively, if someone starts editing it, then leaves it for 20 minutes before submitting, every update in the last 20 minutes get lost.
Don't know if locking it would be right, because you might wait forever to update a popular topic while others get there first.
I don't know how wiki's work behind the scenes, but isn't there a way where changes are merged in to the current live one or something?
