can't log in forgott password

Has been some time since last visited PH site and wanted to log in and join in. However I can remember by username only. BUT have moved and now using another ISP so can't use the "forgot password" get out of jail link. I do know the original e-mail address but cannot log in to recieve the sent password-- don't know if this is due to the take over of orange by virgin. Any way any ideas as I really don't want to set up another account to confuse things (me) even more.. Thanks Ian

as mentioned in the first post I have changed internet providers since moving and can no longer access my e-mail account I used to set up on PH. If I could access the e-mail acount I would be sorted.

Why cant you retrieve email from your original ISP? i'm pretty sure most do a browser based mail function that you can access? and I used to be able to collect my lineone and virgin accounts through freeserve, so maybe you just need someone a bit techie to tell you how to go about retrieving your old mail account mail. I would go on their site though first and see if there's a webmail clicky button to collect through your browser ..

thanks FourWheelDrift have already tried that password in various forms but had no joy, keep trying it everytimeI log in just in case. Is my username stannerz all lowercase?? thanks trackcar but tried various ways of obtaining e-mail from that account but head brick wall syndrome with different passwords etcetcetc. Guess I'll have to duplicate myself !!!???

Password is all lowercase

We have an anti-hacking system that blocks your account if you try the wrong password too many times. An administrator then has to check it and reset it before you can log in again.

This is what has happened in your case, so even if you managed to get it right it would not let you in anyway. I have now unlocked your account and emailed you a new password, so it should work now but if you have any more problems then just let me know.
