Hello Techie people/Hamster spankers

I have noticed that people have a piccie of themselves/car etc to the right of the text on their profile. How do I get a piccie there?

Have tried putting various [img] codes in picture box but it does nothing. Please help I am merely a non-technical female!

Ta in advance!

You should have a box which says 'your picture' and a browse button which uploads direct from computer, rather than being an image code, hold on I will check

yep, just click browse and pick a pic from the computer

I want to change my profile picture but there doesn't seem to be a way that I can find anyway to remove the current picture. How do you do that?

You can upload a new one without having to delete your existing one first. But it's a fair point if like me you wanted to remove your picture completely. I ended up just uploading a picture of my old white 3dr cossie in the snow. HTH.

Are you uploading a .jpg picture? If you try uploading another format you get 'Image needs to be in JPG format' and Profile updated successfully. You may not have seen the bit about the image file type.

It shouldn't take a few goes, but sometimes it will take a few minutes to change while it gets copied around the servers!

What's the average length of time for your profile pic to change?

Have tried to change mine a few times this morning and nothing has happened in my profile but the picture is present in my edit profile page

confused

Try pressing Ctrl-F5 when you are on your profile page. Your computer might be storing the old version

I think this (caching issue) is what might have been happening with The Londoner. His profile picture is still showing as the 968 to me, which it was when he said it wasn't changing for him.
