Help! I'm Stuck in a Loop!
Discussion
Although I'm logged in, sometimes when I go to post it asks me to log in. Having done this it takes me back to the main page, where again it says I'm logged in. However as soon as I try to post I go back to the login screen. The only way to stop it is to log out and in again. Anyone else get the same problems?
www.pistonheads.com and www.pistonheads.co.uk seem to be the same site, eg one reolves to the other ? have always used the .com site
There are several URLs that go to the website, www.pistonheads.com,www.pistonheads.co.uk and a few more, these all point to the same server though some will redirect to www.pistonheads.com and some will stay with the same URL address.
They all use the same code beneath the scenes, but will have different effects on your login as the cookie associated with your login is associated to a specific URL, be it .com or .co.uk; So if you click on a link that someone has posted to the .co.uk site and you are logged in on the .com site you may find that when you come to reply to that newly opened page that it asks you to login.
Hope that helps and isn't too complicated.

I believe petrolheads.com points this way too?
Indeed it does! there are quite a few more as well, including some obscure ones!Tell you what, to enliven a boring evening, why don't you guys see how many more you can find?! PistonHeads will give you a free cookie for every single one you manage to find. Everybody likes free cookies!
cookies are the computer kind, not the edible kind, attempting to eat the cookie may damage your computer and in extreme cases cause electric shock
