Couple of threads I'd posted on previously, I can no longer access - it loads the very top of the page then locks up before finally dropping out and saying page unavailable. This has happened on both Windows laptop & PC but I can view the threads on iPhone..... any ideas?

I don't know whether the problem was specific to certain threads or there may be a simple generic answer. Anyway, the threads:

I'm no techie, but I believe PH fora are spread across two or more servers to aid performance. I gather they sometimes get out of synchronization so when you connect to server A you'll see what you expect but connecting to server B you won't (until it gets back into sync).
Maybe ... possibly ...

I'd go along with that if it was intermitant - I'd expect them to sync eventually. However its only those two threads, and always at the same point...... confused

RAW is like ABS and V8 Esprit or NSX? both look fine, even with the piccies

Try a differnt browser perhaps, check if firewall is blocking it etc

Which point on the pages does it fail and on what page? As I can't replicate the problem here or see a reason why it would just fail for you at a certain point. Also what is the error message you get?

All above questions of course if it is still a problem smile

Thanks chap, not really a problem any more as I was able to view the threads on my iPhone. Strange all the same, and still doing it:

On this thread it freezes at the first post on the second page (I view with max posts per page)

You and me both!!!

...the one 'affordable' car I REALLY want* but don't think I'll ever get...mainly because I think by the time my salary gets where it needs to be, there may be a third member of the family using up any and all spare money...and by the time third (and fourth?!?) aren't costing money all the NSX's will be classics and cost a fortune either to buy or run...

* And probably the only real-world car I'd sell my 'teg to get...

Edit: Coincidentally, 'teg #1 was bought in Alderley Edge...so someone there had some individuality!

I have just tested this on IE6 + 7 and FF2 with the same settings as yourself and it all is working fine this end... very perculiar. There doesn't appear to be any funny characters at the point where you say it stops working. Have you tried it in different browsers on your computer?

Even weirder. Dont know what (if anything!) you've done but they work fine now in both IE & Mozilla. Anyway, no big deal but a bit strange all the same.......

That is a separate problem with usernames having characters that we use for working out formatting of the code, I think this problem means the page doesn't load any further than the parts he is saying and just comes back with nothing.
