As many have recently I have noticed Pistonheads getting gradually slower and slower. Whilst this is a mere 'annoyance' for us forum users (My view is that it is free so I won't complain...!) I've now noticed the 'Classifieds' section becoming very slow indeed. As this section is a commercial element with traders paying to place their adverts, any chance this section could have a bit of a speed boost?

I can understand the reluctance to upgrade the forum speed due to it not making much money aside from adverts, but surely the Classifieds section is different?

As a user, I'm getting very tired of photos taking an age to load (has been over a minute before, which for the Internet is a light year!). I'm running a fast connection and have no problems on other websites. I have also blocked all the ads on the website which helped to start with, but now seems to make no difference.

Normally when a little guy gets bought out by a bigger guy things get better. But the performance of this site has got gradually worse since Ted trousered his millions and retired to his yacht in Monte Carlo.

All due to the increase of traffic. membership numbers and such. They've increased the hardware but you can't plan against millions more page hits per week than you had anticipated.

Nah. You spend a lot of money buying a website and then promote it like mad but dont plan for an increase in traffic? Only if you are incompetent. And the increased traffic is due mainly to morons who are ruining the site. (IMO)

All you can do is vote with your feet and go and do something more interesting instead.

Eventually someone will realise that if you don't visit the forums then you DEFINATELY will not see any adverts. No views = no income!

Then Ted can buy it back for a quid kick the chavs, trolls and numpties out and we can all wheelspin off into the sunset.

I'm off to watch the box. At least the channels change when you hit the button.
