Please, please tell me how I can use this effectively?

Why, when using the advanced search, and cicking on my returned threads, aren't my key words highlighted? I don't want to read a 10 page thread looking for a brief mention of what I was searching for!!

And why doesn't the member fleet directory always work? I'm looking for a particular make and model only to be confronted with 'page not found'. If there aren't any users registered with this car, why not just say that?

Is there a specific key to using these functions, or some degree in engineering required that I do not possess?

And why did I not mention these things in a recent survery...

Grrrrr.

Thank you biggrin

Not sure why the keywords aren't being highlighted for you. One feature that may help (and isn't obvious enough) is that the little plus symbols on the left of each result. These allow you to open up a list of the posts that contain the search terms (rather than having to open the thread and read through the whole thing).

Not sure on the fleet issues - will have to defer to the HM techies for that.

Actually, that highlighting of words in the thread looks like a bug. Will pass details on. type

I was aware of the symbol click thing, just couldn't see it on the last search I ran?

Re: Member Fleet - Perhaps noone likes the car I was looking for frown After all, i'm the only current registered member who admits to owning one of mine!

Thanks Ted.

I'll try again tomorrow.
