status indicators...

What will all thi stuff about sinbins, banning, newbies etc and people not knowing what has happened to other posters, could we not have a small indicator beneath our usernme and post count to indicate the poster's status, in a similar way that Safespeed does?

I suggest the following
banned - obvious
sinbinned - obvious
probation - for newbies close to the 'edge' who have been warned
dormant - for those who can post, but have a very low post count/month.
active - everyone else.

We used to have it but it just created a load of noise. We'd sin bin someone for a quiet word (it's not always for a heinous crime!) and the world would then be curious as to why...

What's the fascination with post counts? Doesn't matter how many posts you have made or how long a member you have been, if you post good things and interesting discussions then it doesn't matter. I always get the feeling some people just post complete garbage most of the time to get more of a post count which would in some way make them more important, which it doesn't.
