There's the P&P, i can't see there being enough demand for a Gardening forum, remember PH is a motoring forum, not a lifestyle forum.

Well it's in jest, but there is a vein of truth in there, combine that with the fact i remember ted saying something about the subforum limit being nearly reached suggest to me there's no chance of people getting a gardening forum.

Not sure on the limit of Sub Forums myself, I'm sure they can handle more, however, we are looking to try and ensure it doesn't get cluttered.

What we're looking at doing possibly is consolidating forums, for example, we're looking at changing the Computers And Stuff forum into one that includes Phones and Gadgets (i.e. PDA's)...

No need for millions of sun forums that would get very little traffic, thus killing out the 'interest'.

Now that is a very good idea... A "Technology" forum. Once a post gets sent to PDA's etc it dies a slow and quiet death yes

No, we'd end up with Hetherington asking how to do it uphill.

And he'd create a spreadsheet of the results.

(I think it's dangerous to have too many sub forums; you'll end up with exceptionally specific forums and only 10 posts a day which is much less useful than a general forum with 1000 posts per day as people will not visit it).

Plus, it appears quite daunting for new members.
