Whats the latest on the Polling Facility? Is it to become available to all?

How is it available to some and not all? Or were certain users chosen as beta testers?

Plus is there a way to view without voting? Read the Evo one and wanted to see the result but not having read the mag I can't vote!

There were a few testers chosed, but everyone should have access to it now. Curiously though, you didn't. I'll see if anyone else got missed (I've enabled yours now).

That's a scenario I didn't consider scratchchin

I'll add a 'view results' option.

The Wiki option has now disappeared completely - should that happen?

Ok, I did miss a batch of people. Everyone now has full rights to polls.

Mattt, you do have Wiki permissions but please bear in mind that Wikis currently aren't available in the Pie and Piston. Can't remember why I stipulated that. I'll remove that restriction in due course.

Hi Ted (or other Mod).

I've just posted my first 'Poll' thread and it was there for a minute (in the sports section) then it disappeared completely - the whole thread...yikes!

Do these threads go off to be authorised first?

ETA: Now its back...anyway, my question still stands I suppose, are you vetting the 'poll' threads?

It's there. We've just had some problems this evening with the servers. All should be well again now.

if you start a poll, can you go back and edit the answers, to add some more if needed? or change spelling etc?

I think I saw an 'Edit this poll' option in the thread once you return to it.

Yes, you can. You can change everything about it if you created it.

Hi Ted (or other Mod)

Is there a way of closing a poll when the time is appropriate?

For instance, I've started a poll in the Sports section concerning predicting the results of 2 football matches tonight. Obviously come kick-off time tonight I would want to close (and thus freeze) the poll for perpetuity. I wouldn't want anyone voting after the match had kicked off.

I can't see that this option to shut the poll down is available yet though or am I wrong?

Cheers

To save starting a new thread.
Can you add the ability to view the poll without bidding? A prime example is London mayor. I would like to see who is winning without influencing the poll itself.

Edited: Oh hell, why dont I read the whole thread? eh? Someone has already posted the same question half way up the page rolleyes
So, any news?
