Having read and been involved with some of the 'Model' thread thats been going on I noticed some people weren't too happy with it and saying it was tarnishing PH name etc....
I'm only new here so don't all cane me for this but on other forums I am a member of they have a members/VIP section where we pay a small fee (£5/£10 per year) to have access to them.
This means normal users can still access the site but not the member only forums, it might just help keep some of the nonsense out of those areas allowing the people who dont like it a more sensible area but without alienating others....
Like I said only a thought, personally i don't mind nonsense it sure beats work but can see how it would irritate others

Yeah I know not ideal but tbh I can't see any harm in having a bit of a laugh and mucking about, that thread by all accounts was the most popular of the last few days and I'd rather chuck in a fiver so the people who wanna moan about non-car threads, and lowering the tone etc can have there own place to go, like I said I'm only new here but i thought as well as being the best site in the world and so so informative it was allowed to be a bit of a laugh too...Dont suggest charging people otherwise they might just do that.
Personally I dont know why people cant just stop viewing, or commenting on, threads that they dont like. It's the diversity of the P+P that makes it such a good place in my opinion, and although it may not adhere to the strict car enthusiast tagline given to Pistonheads, it seems to me that this is entirely the point of that part of Pistonheads. It's meant to be somewhere for the more random posts, and has always come up with some gems in my short time here. There are so many other areas that people can go to on this site that if they have such an issue with the P+P it would make sense to just not visit it.
There didnt seem to be anything on that post that would particularly offend anyone, let alone damage the sights advertising appeal - some poeple like threads like that and some dont, but I think it's a whole lot easier to not view a particular thread than it is to charge people to use a certain area of the site.
All the people who have an issue with "lowering the tone" are already over in CTF anyway, and a fair few of them left because of threads being locked, OTT moderating etc...so it's double standards to an extent when they want any thread that turns into a bit of a laugh to be locked asap.
