Pages opening - NOT

For quite a while now (as in weeks), it's either taken ages to load a page, or the progress bar slowly creeps to the right, then nowt happens...the page doesn't open.

Is this part of the creaky stuff, or is it me...?

Sounds like it is related to one of the adverts failing to load (possibly the HSBC one )

I will keep an eye out for the problem, but if you can identify one advert that is always on the page when it does it then let me know and i will get it pulled.

I'm getting this a lot as well, click on a link and nothing happens I am running ad blocker as well.

If you see my post above yours and the one I quoted, both of us are using adblocker, so it can't be the HSBC advert all of the time!

But I recall someone mentioning it was something to do with the flash component in the add. After reading this I installed both add and flash blocker for firefox and I stopped having any problems.

Who knows, I'm certainly not a computer expert, but it seemed to work for me.

couple of type of things are blocked on this site and a certain advertiser is blocked in another way, it gets to work fast and no have the ad servers running on a dialup account with a 286 server, then I might unblock them

This site is getting worse and worse by the day.

I have hardly been on here in weeks now choosing to chew the fat elsewhere. At this rate I will be history in days...

May patience has all but expired, just like this site.

I've got all the ads adblocked.

Sometimes the pages fly through, sometimes they timeout - it feels like the requests are being load balanced and one server is knackered.
